Description
A friend gave this vase to me last year for my birthday. It's really small, just about 4 or 5 inches high, but I love it; it's beautiful!!! Just right for a rose, or any flowers at all.
Taken in my private studio--my stovetop!!

Excellent capture and treatment, looks great Maz!
Cool and shiny!
It looks like it should be from Egypt, very nice. You have a very nice stove top studio my friend
Great... I think macro it's the right word, if the vase is that small! Excellent shot, good comp!
You got the colors and texture right on! Great work!
I see why you favor this vase. It certainly has so much character to it form.
Beautifully captured Marilyn!
Is that vase, as in "vace," or vase, as in "vahz?" The shadow makes the object look like it's lying on its side on the stove top. Ultra ruddy textures make up the surface of the vase. Stellar capture, Marilyn!
Super textures and lighting - wonderful first capture in you new studio!
Beautiful capture!
(there's so much exciting imagery to catch up on in your gallery, I didn't know where to begin...) this is a beautiful piece marilyin, you've given it the look of a museum capture, the stark bleached-yellow background (used in art books so as to not interfere with the object), and the full capture of the vase. In your hands it seems monumental, as if it were an artifact of some major civilization; and the shading at bottom really gives it gravity. It's a sumptuous vase given that it's a little thing, and you really caught its sensuous veneer (it drips!). I was going right for your surf shots but this caught me and boy am I glad I stopped here. It's fitting for an art book on ancient pottery, and you got perfect shadows too...lovely!
