Description
The heart of Christmas
Like love
Grows wherever it is planted.
Inspiration for this image came from a holiday tradition:
LJ and I collected hearts throughout our relationship, and each year we always put a new heart-shaped ornament on our Christmas tree. Family and friends would also give us heart ornaments, so over thirty years we had quite a collection covering the tree, including heart-shaped lights and heart garland. It was a glorious sight and symbol of our love that grew from one tiny heart.
Credits: Created in Photoshop CS, using a photo of our first heart ornament, a background from my wip Organica pack, sparkle brushes by Antje, Cold As Ice Background by ilona/Bez, and Winter background by mmebutterfly.
I'll be going to Calif this year to spend Xmas with my family. Wishing all my R'osity friends a holiday filled with love.

very cool....
I'm skipping around only because I want to get a taste of all you've done. This is mythic. It's like a tree of the soul, but its roots go deep into the ground and create all kinds of light & colonies of life. The activity in the lower half is stunning; and the hues are beautiful & alive; and the sense of a single contained organism—for all its differentiation and spread—is truly believable & powerful, like the root of love you speak of, like the heart...And the tree at top almost spreads out like fire, into a world & sky that is magic. Finally, that small heart ornament on a branch is a jewel. Beautiful work through and through, I can't think of a more universal Christmas card, one that would speak to anyone, anywhere, of any background or belief; and as art it's beautiful & touching. Just picked this out, almost at random, and I'm stuck to the core by its presence. How nice to find this in the spring, too...
