Description

Mark's eye is healing, but he'll be back soon. In the meantime, another image with his blessing. The original painting for For Jodie's (Odie's) Grandmother. (You can see that one here...) plus the original variation in gouache & Photoshop. * * * * * * I'm an old friend, and it's my pleasure to post these while he's resting. Thanks for visiting, and know he'll see your comments-- he just has to take it easy a few days. Peace to all, Sumavali

Now seeing both of them it would be hard to choose only ONE. So... both would have to be together like sister prints! Mark, it doesn't seem to matter what you do to your art it is always beautiful in any form or treatment. I love the original one, too. It is peacefully simple - and then when you need a change it can be dressed up for variety!

I agree with Jodie how on earth could anyone choose between them and why would we want to. Lovely work Mark and I love the feather like touches in them. Thank you Sumavali so much for your kindness in posting these for Mark and for letting us know how he is doing. I miss him a lot, he is a dear friend.

These are perfect! Very delicately done and full of life. I love the natural textures here of the paper and the interaction of the pigments. There is such an organic quality to these that works perfectly and that whole sense of organic reality is what draws me to your work. These are gorgeous and elegant, as always.
