Description
More of my egrets from the Santa Ana river bottoms. There's something very spare, almost prehistoric about the way they look here. Quite different from the soft, sweet views we usually see of them. See yesterday's post for that particular scene**.

i love egrets.....
Great capture...especially the terrain texture and color. BTW, perfect shot as there are an odd number of egrets in the photo.
These are clearly the bush version.
The color is especially cool! Nice work!
Such pretty colors....they look pink
See what you mean they appear to be sort of planted in the soil, waiting to be watered LOL, great capture though sweetie.
They could be sitting in the middle of the Namib desert!!! Fantastic contrast Marilyn!!!!
Great shot!
I had no idea there were egrets around there...great capture!
wonderful capture warm hug, Linda
Fabulous!
really nice marilyn, it feels like a big desert and it has a real in-the-moment feel with them resting, walking, sunning, etc. The desert-feeling & the brush does make it feel prehistoric (or biblical) and, with Geo, they do look pink. (Maybe that's from the sun & shadow on the birds, I don't know...) It has a real sweep full-view, and feels desolate & very dry, considering it's part of a river system. Really nice eye & a nice piece of work once again...
never seen them in dry land like this. wonderful looking
Wonderful shot! Congratulations on all the egrets - they're great! (I would have cropped ... )
extraordinaire de les voir là !
