Description
I never got much past "chopsticks" on the piano, but every time I see these keys, I just want to sit down and play.

It's never too late! I still intend to give it a go! Superb pic.
I have a synthesizer keyboard at home that I poke at. More, I stub my toe on it's leg.
me too but chop sticks for me too use to play a player piano that was fun watching the keys and all wonderful capture warm hug, Linda
you better than me . i can not play. wonderful pov
super pov
Really excellent POV and composition, catching the reflection of all those keys; the lighting is perfect. I love this one!
Nice!
You could do it....I like the angle!!!
The keyboard player I am can only be charmed by this excellent tribute to this wonderful instrument. Superb capture!
With Humphrey Bogart no where to be seen... Is that a mirrored image or a type of piano keyboard totalling 176 keys I've never seen before? Stranger things have been created.
Cool shot and interesting colors!
Makes me nostalgic; Nice shot :)
Wish I could play... Aloha
Excellent shot! I didn't notice the reflection of the fringed pillow the first time I looked at this. Nice touch! :)
another fine capture of the piano...you've caught 3 things essential to the old 'black beast': You've caught the keys in their entirety, all 88, giving us the full sweep (yes!); you've caught the white keys with a saturated white so that the spaces between are almost invisible (it appears to be a solid sheet on much of the right side, which is how they feel sometimes when a pianist approaches them); and you caught the red-felt in back of the keys, a wonderful band of red against a sea of b&w—your eye caught it and didn't obscure it: Great. (It's there to keep the keys from hitting the wood and 'clicking' while you play.) And you caught the mirrored backdrop with edges barely visible, as if the mirror goes on forever. All intuitive choices very sensitive to the instrument...You know to those of us who've played all our lives, the very sight of those keys is like a call—it calls someplace deep in us, the way the camera does to you or brushes & paints to a painter; and you've done 2 knowing shots of a grand now where you've captured that call & its mysteries & sweep & jewel-like presence. A very loving job, Marilyn. as time goes by...
A very cool shot Marilyn with the reflection .I can play a little ,nothing spectacular though :o) Mick
I see keys and I get the urge for someone OTHER than ME to sit and play. LOL. Fabulous pov.
Most impressive angle on the object!
Great shot!
The old Ivory Ticklers, hard to resist for sure!!!
Superb capture Marylin, this piano is now world famous, the reflection is stunning, I hope you got a shot of the whole thing to show us. Excellent work. Bravo!!!!!
Excellent capture
Great Shot Marilyn. Actually i try to teach myself playing Piano. My skill is horrible. But it's so much fun. My family can be happy i'm able to connect headphones to the Keyboard... :-) Frank
Excellent photo and amazing reflections.....!!!!!
If I'd had joined you on that jaunt, there would have been a case of "Where's RJ?"...I would be right there :)...Lovely capture Maz!
Oooh, I like this a lot. Of course if I sit down at a piano, I can't even peck out Chopsticks...oh well. I love the use of light in this image, the reflections, the contrasts, the POV...everything is just spot on, and I especially love the casual focus on the red "anti clatter" felt at the upper border of the keys...that particular bit of red adds an extra dimension to this already perfectly seen piece of work.
