While making this storyline I learned quite a lot about comic strip layout. However, I am still learning and grateful for any suggestions ;)

Very nice. I like the angles and the "comic strip" layout (I'm trying to get some characters and sets together for a comic strip of my own). Great job.
My only suggestion would be to vary the "shots" in this. That is, maybe move in for a closeup or an extreme closeup in the panel when she realizes something's wrong. (Closeup of surprised eyes. "What is it, Windchild?" Closeup of horse's frightened eye. "... A predator ... or worse, a Ve'hoe." Etc.) Could also try what I always called a slash panel (don't know the real term), a sort of diagonal panel that cuts across the page -- would be perfect for the pic with the rifle closeup. Just some ideas. And I can't believe you're actually apologizing for difficulty translating Cheyenne. Sheesh. You're doing great here. Keep it up. This is a worthy effort.
