Description

I've been away due to recovery. I've not been able to comment much, which grieves me as I miss all of your works. I have, however, seen everything (I truly have) and left comments/fav's whenever I could. I'll leave more...and I hope to return soon. I did this piece while sick: I was studying floral painting so I tried a few. It's nothing big, just something that felt good to do. Hope you enjoy it... (Watercolor & ink. Border in PS.)
* * * * * * A sweet and loving November to all of you, my friends and thanks to all who've sent concern and to all for stopping by. Peace! Mark

Glad I checked email before leaving the house! This is lovely Mark, the blue really makes the whole design very strong. Well done, and I do hope the eyes are getting stronger everyday. Snow flurries, bah, this brings Spring back into the air. Cheers.

Just beautiful. The wonderful use of empty space speaks loudly to me, reminding me to keep the "whole picture" in perspective. I agree with the touch of blue being just enough bold splash but not overwhelming.

Good to see you back Mark. I do hope you feel better now and will keep doing so! This image is so lovely, I like the composition very much, and the flowers make me think of spring, and for a while I forget the rain outside.

Lovely composition. I like the thin outlines of the drawing and the soft blue tonalities.

This is a wonderful composition, made even more pronounced and stunning, due to the placement of the arrangement itself. I love art in all of its varieties, and this is one of the reasons why. The concept of the piece is wonderfully simple and elegant, and it touches on what I see as the true nature of art--the desire to faithfully reproduce the essence of a thing rather than a thing in and of itself. For me, this is more the meaning of floral art rather than a dull reiteration of someone else's idea of what floral art is. The colors are bold, especially the unexpected, but wholly appropriate addition of the blue strokes. You've got more than just a smattering of talent and it's shown to its full and glorious effect here! Great work.
