I finally did it! I finally understood the video long enough to get it down...
It's a simple concept really.
Keeping the ambient and diffuse are the same if not identical in color,
ambience and diffusion balanced and making sure that when the optics is added to the value, they equal 100.
I did this this morning after being inspired by some great renderings at DAZ3d Bryce Forum.
The cemetery is by Ravyn Wood Darkly, the Old Inn by Pinhead and the rest by me. I tweaked the sky a bit following the interesting tip by pumeco.
No HDRI or IBL this time around.
