Description
I remember April 4th, 1968, the day when Martin Luther King was assassinated. I will also remember of November 4th, 2008. During our Senegal travel, we met with friends working in a NGO. This allowed us to visit a school which is held by Catholic missionaries in the North of the country. This pict was shot at the end of the playtime. Comments welcome. Best wiewed full size.
Je me souviens du 4 Avril 1968, jour de l’assassinat de Martin Luther King. Je me souviendrai aussi du 4 Novembre 2008. Pendant notre voyage au Sénégal, nous avons rencontré des amis qui travaillent dans une ONG. Ceux-ci nous ont permis de visiter une école, tenue par des missionnaires catholiques, implantée dans le Nord du pays. Cette image a été prise à la fin de la récréation. Commentaires bienvenus. Techdata: Nikon D50 with AF-Nikkor 4-5.6/70-300 ED at F=165mm, DX format (245mm equiv. in 24x36 "FX" size), 1/500s at f/4.8, 400 ISO. Postwork in Photoshop CS3 Extended. Cropping of half of the whole surface. Enhancement of Sharpness with Optimal Sharpness Filter as a Dynamic effect on the BG Layer transformed into a Dynamic Object Layer, use of the Filtering Mask to enhance only the sharpness of the boy’s head and neck; strong chromatic aberration of the telephoto lens when used at full aperture deleted with the Clone Stamp Tool.

Très belle image. Un joli choix dans ta photothèque pour illustrer cette excellente nouvelle. J'aime beaucoup l'attitude des enfants : 3 regardent l'objectif mais sont flous tandis que le sujet sur lequel tu as fait le point regarde devant lui (vers la droite de l'image, de plus). Une belle réussite. Longue vie à Obama.

Beaucoup de profondeur d'âme dans cette photo, et un type de photographie qui fait cruellement défaut sur RR et dans lequel je me sens très gauche! Je suis très admiratif de cet instant d'intense réflexion et émotion qui se lisent dans le regard de cet enfant africain, sous la bienveillante attention de ses petites camarades. Il y a une veritable tension dramatique dans cette image. Ce garçon à l'air accable par de bien sombres pensées. Le regard des filles dans sa direction semble vouloir lui donner du courage mais lui reste enfermé dans sa bulle. Vraiment une très belle photo. 5++++ Independemment de l'aspect dramatique cette image est egalement tres reussie d'un point de vue technique.
