Description
As I was watering in my greenhouse yesterday, I looked down and saw that one of my orchids is loaded with new spikes. They're a miracle since they bloom this time of year. I get to have these gorgeous flowers in my house in the middle of winter!!

You are so lucky! orchids! I'd kill them in a heartbeat. That's why I gave up trying to grow them. I was holding an orchid funeral every week for some time.
Mmm, I can smell them already, How nice it must be to have their fragrance at Anytime of year!!!
Yes! you are lucky, i'd kill them too. Super well done and the capture is great too.
Latency. Pageantry will soon spread.
Excellent lighting here Marilyn, the colours really pop, well done!
Beautiful lighting and color; you WILL be giving us updates when they bloom, right?
Thanks for reminding me, Marilyn! My Cymbidiums are outside the back of the greenhouse, I shall get them in NOW!
And we get to see the finished results..won't we..:)
Thanks to you, I forget about the cols season... at least for a minute! Great shot!*****
I hope they give you pleasure when they bloom Marilyn, and with a bit of luck they might give us some pleasure also.(wink!) Excellent capture, the buds look very succulent. Bravo!!!!!
awesome green warm hug, Linda
Shades of green, lighting and textural effects beyond magnificent in this macro, Marilyn!
the sense of color is fantastic here...everything is so bright, but not washed out! I love that measure of light/color control. The shapes are intriguing as well, and like everyone else, I'm looking forward to seeing more of these as they grow and bloom. I have never tried, but I hear orchids are notoriously hard to grow, but I'm sure you'll have zillions of long-term blooms!
Just love that lighting and an awesome capture Marilyn :o) Mick
wonderful conpo and light!
