Description
Stickle Tarn
For those who viewed my second image of the Langdale Valley this is further up the walk at a spot called Stickle Tarn. The out flow from the tarn ( Lake ) crashes down the hillside and it is up these water falls that the path follows to reach this point.
The mass of rocky hill to the left of the image is Pavey Ark standing about 3000 feet from the valley floor.
This is part of an area called the "Langdale Pikes"
We ( wife and I ) had a picnic on the grass on the left foreground before moving on to the other side of the tarn and up thru the valleys.
Many people find it hard to beleive this is in England.

That brings back fond memories, although the weather wasn't quite as settled when I was there.
