Description
Morning all :o)
I feel very satisfied with this image as it has so many different feels to it .This was also taken from the top of the bus only this time it was`nt moving ,we were stuck in traffic :o)..To the right was Trafalgar Square with allsorts of work going on .It looked quite a mess so I cropped the bits that I`d captured out .In case your wondering ,this has had a little treatment as an HDR .
I got caught in the tourist trap aswell ,spending vast amounts of money looking at the sights I`ve seen so many times before and Ronnie is so right about all the things wrong with London outside of the main areas .Whilst I was born in the Eastend of London and have family here ,it holds no fascination for me anymore .For me ,the opinions of Ronnie hold true ,apart from the photo opportunities that is lol :o)
Thanks for looking and take care .
Mick

Great shot here, Mick--all kinds of interesting things going on. I know what you mean about big cities, they show off their good sides, but you sure have to be careful!!
A beautiful picture, with my favourite destination, the National Portrait Gallery, just out of sight round the corner!
Very beautiful shot :)
I love this shot Mick, there is so much to see, so much going on and theres a bit of drama to the sky. The HDR treatment has intensified the scene! well done mate!

Busy place you captured here and you did a great job to get a mood right.
Very amazing scene Mick and you captured it very well.
Very good!
Stellar shot! Great details
LOL... This is freaky... I have the identical shot which I also took from the top of a tourist bus a couple of years ago.... Mine just have some pigeons making a nuisance of themselves too. I love the little HDR treatment Mick. Stellar image! :)
Beautiful shot.. well done.
Trap or not it is still such a stunning sight Mick. I must confess to being drawn in to such traps in various countries I visit, but I always enjoy the chance to take in a bit of history and don't mind the crowds.
Yep, you saw how the other half truley lives then mate :)...This is such a skilfully done image Mick, you did great with the tone mapping mate, you made the crap house actully look good :)...Nind you the old St Martin in the field looks great there :)
Beautiful POV and so much to see,a glimpse into the "big city life",splendid Mick!!:-)
Great photograph! It's hard to remember to take pictures of the things you find so familiar, isn't it? I'm glad you shot this ... nicely done!
A lovely scene Mick, great work
Beautiful place. I want to go there and I want to take a picture. excellent photo!!
I think you have taken an alright photo and turned it into art Mick, you have done a cracking job with the HDR. I used to deliver round London quite a bit in the late 60's early 70's, but have never visited as a tourist. Just never felt the urge to visit big Cities anywhere really, apart from Edinburgh, I enjoyed visiting there, even though they did try to tow my car away. Superb work mate. Bravo!!!!!
London is such a fun Tourist trap though! Great looking capture and HDR is well balanced not overdone.
That's a busy place..superb capture Mick! :)
smile - i am looking here like a tourist to - what a fascinating city - wonderful shot mick !
Looks to be an official place and your treatment of it brings great daily dignity.
nice shot, you have made it look very inviting. clean too - was Boris running around with with a big black bag just before you took this ?
Excellent capture! :)
Beautiful image, well composed !
The HDR really makes the clouds pop. Awesome capture.
This is wonderful.
Great capture Mick. With no vehicle in the picture it looks like a historical shot. And the weather was nice too!!!
