Description
In Edinburgh we moved to the backside of the hotel to avoid street noise and be able to sleep. Below that window is this old foundation. I wondered what it used to be and possibly how old. And, there is the building to the left rear under repair with half a roof.
The stretches in time of the scene intrigued me.

Nice work!
Intriguing image...looks to me like a bit of urban archaeology. Fantastic capture here. I love the details and the quasi-starkness of this image. Great stuff, especially the mysterious foundation that does actually look pretty old.
So fascinating!
Very cool!
Great capture.
Wonderful capture!
Fascinating place. I wonder if the access to it is restricted. Hard to believe that such an old structure is left on its own to disappear.
Very beautiful!
Very well done!
What an amazing view to have! Wonderful capture.
This is what I find so intriguing about UK. It really is old compared to the USA and things like this seem to be taken in stride. Great shot!
on my last trip to the Philippines I climbed a bell tower, across a steeple roof and through an attic to see the foundation of the oldest church there, built in the 1600's.this brings back that memory. awesome structure and capture
