Description
Solani Aranstar and Merrick Darlan were married in the Grove of the Treefather. But their wedding was not welcomed by some, who considered their union unnatural.
Two goddesses came to 'bless' their union, but one was Desiree, the goddess of lust, the other, Katarsis, a goddess of death. As Desiree blessed their union, Katarsis stabbed Desiree with a dagger that could slay gods, and Desiree, who had thought the other goddess her lover and ally, fell in shock.
The grove was tainted by the death of the goddess, and the world began to sink into dangerous chaos.
But Cyllae, the goddess of love, did bless their union, and through it all, Solani and Merrick Darlan-Aranstar held to their love for each other....

A VERY short summary of what happened on that day these characters were wed. It happened in an online game, and a few of the staff didn't care much for two women getting married. Still the story was good, if not also tragic.

Oh boy, I was so hoping that this union was real, but I see it was held in an alternate universe. We are a long ways away from achieving true equality I see but with works like this we keep getting closer.
I'm afraid there always will be those who know so perfectly what is natural and what is not. Those who will try to constrain everybody to be and to live as they want them. It is sad but it is true. All the more important is every little piece of art that celebrate diversity and so keep it in public focus. Not that this is a 'little' piece of art. It's wonderful and tender and I love it!
