I think I may have combined x-pax's Cylindric terrain with this one. Not sure I remember, but it looks a bit like it, no?

I like the tone and lighting in this render. A good application of strata too. Have you heard of Stratagen? It's a dedicated strata generating program (I guess that's why they called it Stratagen) ideal for use with Terragen. As far as I can recollect it's a free program, but I'm not sure if it's still available or what the maker's website is. Try google searching it.
I like the colour of the sandstones. Real good scene with that little fog. Beautiful lights.
