Description
Hooray, first photomerge in months (also first both created on and posted from laptop).
"Widget" isn't that great a name but it sort of fits, however I'd be happy to consider anything you guys might want to throw out there. It was inspired partly by the Submachine games and I guess the face looks kinda like one of the special effects in "The Thing", but I think more than anything else it looks like a mid-90s metal video, which is not my style at all. Maybe my style is changing. Not even totally sure what it was to begin with.

Xcellent composition!
This is a superb composition and a gorgeous image! I spend a lot of time reading and writing, and for some reason this is full of wonderful steam-punk references, along with a bit of the "weird" as exemplified in the writing of China Mivielle. Having said that, I have to say that this image resonates with me in numerous ways, more than I can actually go into here, but suffice it to say, I love it!
I always suspected this is what a widget looked like, and how its users would react. Very well done photomerge, Lexa, with a creative flair for the unexpected.
haven't been here in a while, too long for the energy & spirit you give all the time...this is a lot of fun, and the top part looks like a hospital bed (ie, not just any bed), and that face is like someone trapped in an institution & screaming. The lower portion is a set of gears, and you know, it could work as a poster for a scary film fest (horror, thriller, whatever), and the pipes are nice too. I've always liked your montages & experiments...you could do all kinds of things to this, but I think it's both fun and provocative as it is. I was never sure what 'widgets' were (except on Macs, where they're tiny programs), but this is like the widgets that took over Ward B in the Hospital from Hell...Lot of fun. Good in B&W. And good to be back in your gallery again...
