We all have to slow down and relax every now and then. I do hope it won't take Mark to get well soonest abd be with us in person with his wonderful art and the wonderful atmosphere he has created in such a short time. Thanks a lot for posting this wonderful work.

Strong colors outlined by delicate and lacy borders make this look like a very old and fragile map. Perhaps this map is actually made from dried leaves fallen from several trees! The leaves could very well be pieces of souls of the old trees....

I agree with Nikolais...there are times when we must slow down, either to recover or simply to gain the strength for what lies ahead. Hopefully this is a fruitful and quick process! This is a fabulous work, it is bold, strong, but also subtle in numerous ways. I love the planetary motif--land and ocean from an orbital perspective. The Autumnal reference works as a great reminder of the way things change, the way cycles and rhythms dance with every element of life. Fantastic, perceptive work!
