I've been to your wonderful gallery many times but haven't commented yet & felt it was long overdue...I picked this at random, and what a beautiful shot: The soft-focus of the water & boats (etc.) will always be dramatic against a foreground object like your pelican. But it's your color & tonalities that makes this such an integrated picture. It's a symphony in subtle grays, grayish blues, etc., beautifully woven into an 'abstract' of lights & hazes; and the pelican's sharp whites & off-whites are like the 'watermark' to the whole piece. And its beak—light pink—harmonizes with the dark pink of the pedestal...A simple composition, yet it feels vast; and it's filled with tonal beauty & delicacy. A beautiful piece of photography.
You're lucky to have such beautiful pelicans. The ones here are brown and grey.
