Description
I don't know what kind of tree this is ... the way the leaves grow makes me think it's legume bearing ... maybe a locust or something. (Anyone who knows, just jump right in!) :)
I loved the vibrant yellow-green of the changing leaves. So different from the usual golds and oranges I'm used to. (We have mostly maples in this part of the world.)
You never know what you'll find in a cemetery!

Looking at the angle of the path in the background I would hazard a guess that the tree is leaning quite a lot to the left, and like Alan I am surprised that the tomb stones look quite erect and not displaced by the roots. It certainly looks to be a prime specimen of its species Tara, and looks quite at home in its location, a very healthy looking tree. Superb capture. Bravo!!!!!
A gorgeous shot of this giant in the boneyard. I, too, love shooting in cemeteries. I'll post some new shots soon. I usually take photos for reference to paint from, but some of the shots I've taken are very nice on their own. There's a great community of excellent photographers here at Rendo and I look forward to sharing and getting feedback. You have a very nice gallery. I'll be back!
A nice beautiful looking tree....I know it's not a locust, because locust trees have thorns.
Someone else who shares my passion for cemeterys. And your right, you never know what you will see there. Thanks for shareing.
such a grand personality of a tree.... a very fine shot!
