Description
After I got the shots I wanted on the pier, I had to back down UNDER it again. I love the huge posts that support the structure, and just wander around looking for different views. This is on the southwest side, with the early morning sun giving it that golden glow. I also really love the way the water looks; it has kind of an old world look.

love the orange hue and your capture
I really love this view! Great work!
this is really cool wonderful capture warm hug, Linda
The orange hue in this is exceptionally warm and cozy, which works as a welcome, surprising contrast to the surf imagery as well. Great work here! It has that sunset feel to it, which adds to the sense of relaxation this picture imparts.
Very beautiful composition and light!!!
VERY NICE!!!!!!!!
Fantastic POV and light!
The light is gorgeous! Beautiful image.
TOD... right Time Of Day, as the say! Very well done, Clive
This is Stunning! It has that golden glow, strength and serenity all in one shot.
Brilliant..
Wonderful capture, Excellent well done..
Almost unreal feel to this! Great composition too.
I have a filter in PSP called Old Newspaper, I use that sometimes instead of the Sepia filter, that gives a golden glow like this one Marilyn. A warm welcoming feel to this, even the water looks warm. Superb capture. Bravo!!!!
For someone from the Midwest this is a view that signals accomplishment. Going to Kansas City on a bus, train or plane does not compare. Kansas City, Here I come? I think not!
De brillantes couleurs pour habiller ce ponton de bois
Oh Marilyn - this is just marvelous - the light, the compo - everything! WOW!!
This is really a great shot....I think you're right about the water too!
Love the mood!
This is gorgeous...especially the lighting. Bravo and a fav.

Stellar postwork, perspective and shades of reddish gold in this excellent shot, Marilyn!

Wow I love this golden glow to this capture. this is awesome my friend
Again that morning light works wonders. Very nice POV too. I live on the east coast and I find I am always drawn to our local pier...if seems to present endless opportunities for photos! Great work!
I don't know how I let this one pass me by Marilyn, Stellar job! Congratulations for making the selection for the LWitG42, well done lady!
this is a must full-size, because when you see it large, you really do get lost in the underside of a high pier (or boardwalk). Much mystery and peace down there; and you got this early morning gold, but also that murky still-darkish gray that makes this look almost otherworldly. Lovely to see the lower piers (supports) all stained by the water, and yes the piece has an old world look. Both painterly (esp. in the water mid ground, where it could almost be oil) and with the golds and ambers typical of the 17th C. Deserving of the LWITG. Your gallery is a genuine carnival!
