Description
Well, ok, I'm not entirely sure if they're wasps or not - I didn't get that close. LOL
We did a half mile nature hike on Monday at the Indian Grinding Rock State Park and on the way we came across this hole in the ground with the wasps flying in and out - so I got sorta kinda close, zoomed all the way in and got this. It's the only one I managed with them in the shot and it not too blury to see them in the first place.
Hope you're all having a great weekend!
John

Fantastic shot.
Excellent macrophoto my friend.....!!!!
Be ware the wasp! Excellent photo I hope no photographers were injured in the filming of this picture! :O)
I know how difficult it is to shoot insects, especially wasps! You did a great job here, John! If they are wasps or not ;-)
It is really good hidden!!! I got stung this summer from a wasp and had really bad side effects, so this makes me not really feeling comfortable!! Excellent captured!! Hugs Ute
Excellent shot!
Better you than me! I just went on a nature walk with my boys today, do you think I brought a camera? Of course not. :P Cool pic.
I have to say that wasps will likely never be a part of my personal macro photography, as I have a tendency to jump and run entertainly in the opposite direction when I notice them- so good on ya for even getting this shot! ;)
Great photo - we had some work done last year in the basement and they discovered an old wasp's nest about three feet across - he said it was the biggest he'd ever seen!
Wasp, bee, anything that's yellow and stings, I hate... Nice shot though!
