Description
Hello all :o)
I`ve lost my way a little with photography mainly because I`ve got the attitude of I can`nt be bothered .I`m so frustrated with life at the moment I can`nt seem to get my head in gear and sort myself out .Its becoming a hard struggle to see the light at the end of the tunnel and I`m sick of getting nowhere with the council over our situation .Its just a constant battle with kids, their parents and officials .I have a meeting tomorrow with the local MP ,but i can`nt see anything fruitful coming out of that .The only good thing to happen so far is that the residents that are left (7 families) have all become one voice that is prepared to take this situation to the next level .Maybe we might not be here for Xmas if the council start taking notice .We can`nt even venture far and leave the house for any length of time ,because we are sitting ducks for vandals and burglars .We come in from leaving the house to find cracks in the windows or a bit more of the fence kicked in .Anyways enough of my depression and onto the pic .Well I was just playing about with a lamp in the kitchen in the dark trying to create different effects .I have`nt quite got it right nor anywhere near as good as Pj`s garage shots ,but I will get there in the end :o)
Thanks for looking and take care
Mick

Superb idea..beautiful colors! Magnific photo :)
Through this ungrateful world it ace to be lost much there, a chance that the friends are there. It is superb this idea. The failures bring passions and despairs. The finished part have is tired but the love give us on his way and it is necessary to start again says it way such is the life. Not easy to be made bleurrer and not to fall to the shift.
Wonderful shot!
Very nice shot!!
Mick I am sorry what situation you have to deal with and thiss capture is spot on. Face to face what comes. Good pov and like a warm tone.
Give the Sun a call and let them know your plight, they will love it, failing that, give Jonothan Maitland a call at the TV centre, he'd love that too :)...Smashing shot mate!
I like it!! I used to play chess in high school, but it's been a loooong, looooonnnnnggg time. ;c) I don't remember it anymore, but my weakness for chess sets is great. I would love to collect them, if I had the room for them. I'll have to get a lamp and try some tricks with it like PJ, too. It turned out to be such a wonderful strategy for her, so why not the rest of us? It's a great idea.
Talk about a image summing up a situation. Mick my friend I am truly so sorry for your frustration but it is understandable. Hopefully all 7 families speaking as one will be loud enough where someone will be forced to take notice. Usually as it seems with all governments at all levels it is the squeekiest wheel that gets the grease. So my only advice my friend would be for all of you to squeek as loud as you can. Write letters to the editors of papers, make calls, emails, do what ever you can to call attention to your plight and make life miserable for the moronic officials until they do something about this.
I love chess, tho I haven't played for awhile and I have a couple sets tucked away:-) Rest assured Mick that your image is awesome...I just wish things would settle for you in that other dept! I agree with magnus073, make a lot of noise! We all know the authorities would not put up with what you are having to. You can submit letters online to your local newspapers too that might be of some help. Wish you the best my friend!
I know it's not the English way to make a fuss and call attention to yourself, but sometimes it's a necessity...good luck with all of it. I love this image, it's warm and speaks volumes about your feelings right now.
Fantastic capture.
I love this shot. The way the light reflects off the rounded pieces, and the way the pieces are reflected in the board ... good stuff! I'm sorry you're still having troubles with your housing situation. Hang in there, my friend!
Mick, this is amazing. When I saw your composition, I already had a sense for what your comments were. You brought so much of yourself into this. A face to face with yourself on a battlefield populated with spectators. A world who does nothing but yet, I can see inside, you are not backing down. The frustration is momentary and you will fight your way out of this with all the bull-headedness of a mad man... not crazy man but an angry man. Stellar shot.
Dear Mick, I'm sorry for the situation where you find yourself... I cannot help you, but wish much good luck to you and your family! A hug Mc
Ah Mick, this is so good, such a great shot--the light is just out of this world!! Maybe PD154's idea of letting the media know what's going on isn't such a bad thought--but I'm sorry you're having to go thru this. Hang in there, we're all thinking of you and willing things to be resolved--soon.
It´s getting worse and worse. My parents in law are living in the UK, before some months, some burglars broke into the house at night, stole the purse, the mobil phone and the car infront of the house. My parents in law there upstairs sleeping and they didn´t hear anything. They are also having alot of problems with the kids in the nighbourhood. This is a great shot, well done.
Isn't it wonderful how supportive everyone is, Mick! Lot's of good ideas there, your local TV would be a very good place to start I should think. It's great that your families have all banded together, you will most likely force the hand of the council in some way. This is a very successful image, Mick, and not just in the way it looks!

It a grand shot, Mick. I am so sorry for the situation you are in. Hang in there, dear Mick, soon this will all be consigned to memory and your future will be safe and solid. Gentle Hugs. Di. xx
Oh dear Mick - my heart goes out to you all. Damn, life can sometimes be so unfair. Just dont give up or give in. Stay strong my friend and fight the authorities with every breath in your body. "This too shall pass." The image is wonderful. Excellent work. :)
Wonderful capture, Excellent well done, hope something works out for you pretty soon mate..
Beautiful work and my thoughts are with you and your family. I really hope for a positive outcome for you all.
Splendid idea and mood ;O) Be patient and positive my friend!
Well there isn't much I can add to all the comments on here Mick, apart from my support that is, I worked for the council so I know how they can drag their feet. It took me six months longer than it should have done when I put in to buy the house, they were dragging their feet over access to the rear. Hope it all gets settled asap mate, Tyne Tees TV may well be interested in your plight. Excellent capture of the chess board, nice pieces, I haven't played for nearly twenty years, although I do have two sets, one wood one glass. Just keep up the fight mate, we are rooting for you.
A splendid image for this sad words Mick! My heart is with you my friend... be brave!
wonderful captue Mick...will remember you in my thoughts and prayers...
I think you did a great job with this, Mick. I understand your frustration, it's hard to be creative with photography when worries are on your mind. I know all too well. I wish for you a solution to your problem and better days ahead. God Bless, my friend. :)
Superb! Mick this is very good and original! Keep your chin up mate I hope you get something sorted out soon!
Sorry to hear about your issues... wish the best for you mate :o) and a wonderful capture you did!
hope you remember me :(
