Oh! The pies I would make! Fantastic composition.
(Great comments..."Oh the pies I would make!" ML, you better have a big refrigerator! I'll be there for sure, next week!) With series like this, I get the sense of you spending a day in the studio with these pumpkins, shouting, "no—little more to the left, that's it!" and taking about 200 shots and giving us the most representative. This is a frontal version of yesterday's, and it's great to see them in a whole other light. This emphasizes the amazing brightness of the fruits, which I imagine is fine with them, since they're usually seen as a deep orange. Here, their near-full yellow hue really shines. And the wood is less rustic here, more of a solid holder. And that sky is dominant & beautiful. A bright & straight-forward version of yesterdays more 'reflective' shot. (Pumpkins have to be reflective too...) And I think the pumpkin with all the dirt on it is probably thinking, "everyone else is clean, but I'm the one with all the dirt?" (I think he's upset.) (Or she.) An exuberant, bold shot, and lots of fun! Next one, you should do interviews...
