Description
Unknown what kind of bird this is but he sure has some great feathers. He sat for a long time watching me and watching the other birds eat, then one of the squirrels spooked him and he flew away. I have not seen him since.
***many thanks to Alz2008 (Aled) who identified the bird and was kind enough to point me to a great page of info:

I have hundreds of these in my yard daily but because of distinct coloring did not realize they were all starlings!
I am behind on comments, will try to catch up today. Thanks for looking and for previous comments and favs!

Wonderful shot, Lynn. Pretty little fella for sure. The white spots on the black body looks beautiful. A magnificent singer just like the blackbird. A hundred of those can sing out loud i bet #:o)+5
Nice capture, well done..
Lovely composition, Lynn. I like the contrast between leaves and steel fence. The bird is a Starling.
Yes, Lynn....this is the younger version of the starling. Each year they would rob the garden of our corn as it sprouted .... not a wanted bird here ;.)Great capture.
nice bird. I don't know the french name. I'll make a research on Google
Great capture!
They always remind me of Cockney barrow boys, in all their pearly king get-up! This is their winter clothes. My brother has them in great numbers, whereas, only 1 mile away, i never see them!
we have thousands not hundreds .they roost under the river bridge at night and can blacken the sky in daylight .not my favorite bird lol :o) mick
Starling to confuse me a bit :)...Great shot Lynn, IM me on how you are now..Better?
