Description
Hello ALL!
Taken at warren Dunes beach ( SW lower lake ) on Lake Michigan before a summer storm came in . I was drawn to the water hole, boy and sky, then a plane flew past! Then the boy looked up at the plane and soon forgot about his shovel, pail and big water hole he was creating and he soon turned into a little human airplane with arms wide open running around vrrrooommm.... hehe. It rained about 10 minutes later and all the beach day campers were running for their cars. I felt bad for one family that was Amish that had just arrived before the rain it had probably taken them all day to get there and it poured when they got there. I loved the sky and many clouds that day .. it felt surreal to me and I wish I was back there . I am in love with the beaches there . Waves without salt water! I have talked to Mike about moving to Michigan( where all his family and my family lives ) but he grew up in the UP MI and he is comfortable in southern California -wants no part of the cold winter! ( lol think he remembers the long hard winters - snow shoveling and chopping wood! ) . Come to think of it I only visit there in the summertime ~!
Thanks for all your time and comments!!
Love to all!!

Beautiful scene and very ideallic. Looks as though someone had fun making the lake in the foreground.
Love the colors and composition on it Kim! I'll have to go visit that part of Michigan...I think I've been there once. Your husband is right! Go visit in the summer time and keep up the good work!
Fantastic scene, excellent capture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is such a lovely shot. You have really captured the summer feel of this place. I like how you framed your shot.
this look like a photo that rockwell the painter could do for life Magizine. so wondeul
Another beautiful photo.
An amazingly complex shot, with several different types of water, capped by the lake which is emerald & mean at the same time (I know that lake, I know how it gets before a storm!). And the sky is one of those midwestern skies that's pregnant and about to explode. (Biblical!) Yet in the foreground, all goes on happily...You feel the midwest like a pianist feels keys: You're a natural. And the plane is one of those moments that drop into a shot and seems like it was meant to be there from the beginning...A picture with peace & tumult rolled into one; it's complex, multi-layered, and it's beautiful.
a beautiful, peaceful scene at the lake! Very much, very beautiful photo! Agree erland
