Description
Hello All!!!
Wasn't sure what to put up from my recent trip to Nappanee, IN so putting up a collection of pocket cam snaps that I played with working into a collage today ( forgive the quality- it was alot better but had to save it to a jpeg to get it below the 512 KB ) . SO just a few shots just to share the experiance & little window into life on an Amish Farm where time seems frozen in the past ( 1800's America ) . Normally Amish people do not let you take their pic but I got lucky here this guy didn't mind. What a peaceful life he must have. Can you imagine living with no electricity TV, car or computer? try it for a week!!! We had a power outage and the girls went nuts with no lights tv or computer for an evening ..something to think about could you give that all up?..
I could I think - never know until you try ( but oh i would miss renderosity and my digital camera alot!! )
... I have always had a pull toward/ and real love for this simplistic country life . sometimes wish I lived or knew their simple lifestyle that seems so Godly and wholesome. This day I visited an old farm it started to rain pretty hard - it really *poured on me !(* see pic with horse and buggy -omg I was completely drenched there no umbrella or coat and a bit worried about my camera lol).
Thanks for all your time and comments ~!
Love to all!!!

what a gorgeous collection, very well done!!
I think that life would be nice for awhile, but certainly not on a permanent basis :o) awesome shots !!!!
Wonderful.
Fantastic photo series my friend......!!!!!
nice collection ,well done!
Great composition of amish community!!
A simple but beautiful life style they lead. Excellent collage!
You were very lucky to come across this gentleman Kim, a very rare thing in the Amish community, to let you take such personal pictures, of himself and inside his house. I think this man was very tolerant towards you, are they actually catching up to the twentieth centuary? Still a ways to go to the twenty first though. #:0) Superb collage, excellent presentation and narrative. Bravo!!!!!
Very interesting photos and collage! Good job/pictures too :)
This is stunning, you have captured lovely shots, and presented them very well indeed, what a laid back lifestyle this must be :)
Gorgeous collage. I love your photos and you have captured this setting remarkably well. I'm from farm country, born and raised, and was lucky to live near the Amish--though I'm not from that background. I do miss country life, but I have to remember there are also hardships that come with the lifestyle. It's all a matter of which sacrifices one is willing to make.
Excellent collage Kimmers!!!! :o)
Interesting collage and capture. It tells the complete story in this one. Very excellent work. Aloha
These are some really awesome shot! Fabulous composition work!!!
Excellent collage!!! :)
FANTÁSTICA COLAGEM MARAVILHOSAS FOTOS UM BELISSIMO LUGAR PARA SE VIVER PARECE BEM TRANQUILO.+++++++++++5
Wonderful collage! Instant fav for many reasons! I used to cook on a stove like that when I was in my teens, we had a wood burning stove similar but much older than that one, of course being raised on a farm all the elements of the barnyard are memorable for me, not to mention my love of the animals:-) And the milking can, I had to milk by hand, it was poured into the can, let the cream rise and then scoop it oit to churn into butter and made farmers cheese (cottage cheese). Thank you for this one, its really like going home!
Beautiful collage, excellent captures and presentation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a neat collage Kim! Every image is special. Great work! :)
what a beautiful collage ! You have captured perfectly the atmosphere of this communty ! Bravo
Good shot mom i want to no more about what they would do but this shows everything!!^__________^
These are all gorgeous. What a wonderful collage of images! Splendid work on every one. Bunny
you put them together in a real attractive collage. each one can stand on it's own merit
Done a great job here Kimmi, a super collage!
Wonderful colage..Absolutly beautiful..Jen
Superb and very interesting collage, underlined by your sound thinking about the way we've made ourselves dependent on electricity and computers! My former computer crashed earlier in Spring and it first sounded like a catastrophe to me: no more access to the internet or RR, no more access to my e-mails...But it only took me a few days to completely (almost!)forget about what I considered as vital. Those three weeks without a computer proved fruitful as I resumed reading, playing music and cycling!...Otherwise, this Amish community seems to live up to an ideal that is or should be quite profitable to the improvement of human nature. Excellent work and presentation, Kimmers!
great collage, looks like the good life.
Makes one really long for that lifestyle but not enough to actually commit to accomplishing it I fear.....great shots.. ...
One of the best collage I have seen here, superb collection of images and stunning colors, bravo !
