Description
Found this little girl in the backyard but it was a bit too windy so cut the leaf off & brought her inside. She was so patient to let me move her around, set up & take photos.
Species: Jumping Spider
Opisthoncus polyphemus (QM)
(identification also derived from an image on the salticid website of Ed Nieuwenhuys)
Habitat:
This spider is most often shaken from the green leaves of shrubs and low trees but may also be found in a leaf rolled into a tube for use as a retreat and as a place for depositing an egg sac
