Description
No, not so ancient. Along the Malecon (boardwalk) in Puerto Vallarta, there are sand sculptures of all kinds of things. At Christmas, Santa is there, Easter brings more religious scenes, and there is always an image of the Virgen de Guadalupe, patron saint of the Americas. This is just a pyramid, but I love the lines and the rocks and bit of water in the background.

Oh! You know, I forgot to ask you ... I had no idea this was a sand sculpture! LOL! I guess I was a bit involved in other things. * gasp! * I like this image a lot! :)
Very nice work.... Excellent shooting. Aloha
Amazing. The compo is great and it makes for strong layers of interest.
Beautifully done image!
excellent shot, superb sculpt !!
Splendid capture of the sand creation.
very life like ,in fact so much so that if taken from another angle without the other bits you would never know the difference .superb marilyn and i like this a lot aswell :o) mick
The mind can travel in intellectual pursuit of civilization. How odd my joke that this year Palin-tology will be questioned. (Paleontology to those who insist always on realism and grind the humor to a nub.)
Totally wonderful ! It's a very creative idea !!!!!
Love the deep warm earth tones and contrast here, and that's a really cool sand sculpture!
Cool image and POV!
Some art in it's truest form. I always marvel at the things folks make with sand and this is an Excellent example!!!! Wonderful shootin!!!!
clever work
And a great treatment from you has made it even more exciting!
I agree, if you took out the background it could be the real thing, and no one would know the difference. Excellent capture!
I have to agree with all the above Marilyn, if you had got down in commando crawl and shot from that level, it could have come from deepest Amazon, a wonderful Inca Temple. Excellent capture, and I love the background as well. Bravo!!!!!
Very beautiful, somebody put a lot of work into this. Very nice
I love the colors!
Love the colors and the textures
Wow, you coulda fooled me! I thought it was a photo of the real thing taken from an aircraft. Superb clarity and beautiful beige/orange/reddish colors permeate this scene. And to think Aztecs used to sacrifice virgins on top of that structure.
Wonderful image and work, Excellent well done..
Fantastic! Love the thought that the water will take it back.
