Description
AlooooooHa!
It's 5:45am and the magical 15 minute window is gone like the smoke from the plume. I pulled back on my lens to try to capture the immensity of the plume. Now you can see what has been happening behind the scenes all night. Without darkness the plume is rather intimidating. Gone are the nice little fireworks I've been enjoying all night. Now the plume takes on the look of a fire breathing monster.
I had a talk with the two gentlemen in the foreground as they were headed back to the car that morning. According to them the plume size is 1/4 the size it was a month ago. So figures I would get there late...ah, well, I'm happy with what I got.
I hope you have been enjoying this little adventure with me and are not too bored with shot after shot of pretty much the same view. With daylight pretty much here, gone are the cute little firework images. But Madam Pele has much more in store for me. As with all my images, viewing bigger brings out the detail.
