In addition to going with Premium setting I bumped the rays per pixel up to 256, soft shadows, and played around with the Total Internal Reflections setting.
I'm posting "Phoenix's Gyre" tomorrow, it shows the effects much better than this one. The advanced settings in these & other designs make for longish render times, in fact, as I mentioned to Photostar recently, one turned into my own personal Bryce Render Time record of 15:15:35:35, so be aware of that.

I really like the sculpted and rough surface mat on the mountain area. it reminds me of rough-hewn marble. And the tree really adds dimension to the view.
