morning all :o)
as you can see this shot was taken in one of the showers david and myself got caught in .it only lasted a few minutes but managed to wet the wood on the pier nicely for the shot :o)
the pier was opened in 1869 and has a long history of damage caused by storms and ships for more info i`ll include a link as the info is to long for here .

Nice to see the lift is maintained Mick, unlike the one at Whitby, the last time I was in Whitby the lift was closed. Excellent capture and I like the pov you chose, I have never really visited Saltburn although I used to drive through it every week to get to the Skinningrove Steel Works. I had a look at the link, very interesting reading. superb work. Bravo!!!!!
