Description
The title is an old song about this sky formation. My Grandmother used to tell me about the clouds in the sky when I was a litle girl and would call me to see 'the buttermilk sky'. This is an unusual one at sunset.

A very dramatic capture of an old favorite.
Great photo!
Hello jtmjtm2001, thank you for your comment. When I see an unusual sky, I hop in my car and drive south to where there are open fields and I can see the horizon. I live in a river delta.
This is a gorgeous sky...well done on capturing it and sharing it with us.
Cool shot.. reminds me of some sunsets i seen visiting canada(with the army unfortunately).. where do you live ?
