Description
Damselflies mating down by the pond. This is smaller than most of my photos due to A) the vicious cropping I did and B) the fact that it was a little grainier than usual, maybe because of the bright sunlight. I also wasn't holding my hand quite as steady as I should've been. So I shrunk it to 40% instead of the usual 50 or 60 or even 70 to make it look higher quality than it actually is. In other words I'm a FAAAAAAAAAAAKE.
Postwork: soft light layer, lots of cropping (in the original, the flies were at the center of the shot). This time I only extra-blurred a little bit of the background because the black parts weren't showing grain.
More heron stuff coming soon.

Like it that you cut the right part of the image and positioned the damselfflies on the site instead of the imagecenter. Focus on the damselffly in the front is great but a bit more sharpness on the damselffly behind would have been nice. Well, nevertheless like this one! Funny title on the pic! :D
What do you mean, a fake! When we made prints in the darkroom we never had to apologise for cropping, dodging, burning, spotting etc., or explain why we'd grade 3 paper intead of 2. You worry too much! The insects could do with a bit more space on the right, and a bit less on the left. Otherwise, well done!!
Great shot, I don't really care what you did with the original, I love the sharpness of focus and colors. Exceptional work!
That blue one's eyes are fantastic! Wonderful colors. :)
Great work, well done
Fine work!
