Description

hahahah I still remember a comment left under one of his skies. The comment say he must have a lot of these sunsets in his trunk of his car and when he needs one he takes it out and put it up there to photo. It been a few years ago. Hope my memory is still good but I can not say it word by word but that was the spirit of it. Richardphotos do take some of the most beauty skies. I know he can not use this one for it have cypress trees in it. He do it for mapp and himself for mapps store so look there if you need skies for your art. Just IM him and he tell you how to get to the store. This was taken a few days ago at Lake Martin. I been going there for I know after a hurrcan comes thought the skies looks diff that at other times. It was a small storm and I did not get much just two days. The first day of shooting I had the ISO too high so most looks grainy. The second day it was cloudy and no sun; the third day You see here; I think I got it right. got more of this sunset will post them when i think is a good time. I see a lot of people posting sunsets around the world and they are lovely. thanks for looking and comments. and votes too. I know I do not IM thanks all the time for votes but I got three art images to get ready for a show and they be in diff genre. i post one tomorrow and see what you all think about it.

there is a bird on the middle towards the right of the photo by the cypress tree. the lens is a old one and it is a 70mm to 250mm zoom lens. The camera will not say what the f stop is or focus zoom is. The f stop is around 8 to 10

Masterly shot, Jock. It is very lovely as you say. I always loved the light from sunsets. The colouring beats it all. And Richard is fantastic. The Texas Wide Open Skies is a great product for background in renders. Richard is a splendid photgrapher. But so are you. FOUND IT :) A stork or a heron of some sort.+5

That is a real Chicken Little sky. Fortunately you got some cypress trees to prop it up.

Dang! How many times have I had to remind Richard to lock that trunk before he hits the highway! LOL This is a very well composed sunset and the color does speak of the changing winds. The crane is absolutely a treasure worth its weight in gold!
