Love the subtle little texture motive and yes you get not always what you want :-)
But this IS interesting, and you've had me sitting here staring at it for several seconds now, at least, trying to figure out just what the heck you did to make it! LOL! It looks as though you might have taken an image of something that could be used as texture--some nice pattern of some sort (wallpaper, mabye?), and imported it into the spiral, as texture for the spiral. And then there's the lovely oval shape/frame you added too! This really is nice, and it sure got my attention! grin Terrifically interesting and fun title, too!
Lots of times we get what the image wants to be rather than what we intened to do with it. And it usually is right on, as with this one. It knew what it was doing.

Well, the title made me laugh, something I really needed just now. And I love the image, I see young birds with their beaks opened hoping to coax mom to shove just one more meal down them! And that makes me chuckle too. Love the way you worked the texture in also. So there you go, I think it's a darned neat and interesting little spiral thingy!
