Description
This is the same render as last time, except for a change of atmosphere. Originally, I left the sky clear for two reasons: 1) to help keep the MBs down and 2)because I felt it added a sense of desolation to the picture. This time, I wanted to see if I could put that large area of sky to good use. I think I succeeded.
That's it for now. Thanks for stopping by to take a look. That and your comments are deeply appreciated.
Jeremy
CREDITS:
Kalebdaark made the following items: Wasteland Vehicles: Wasteland Junker Car, Round Raider, Wasteland Jx2 Scout Car, Wasteland Nomad Bus, Wasteland Wedge Buggy, Wasteland Trader, and Wasteland Rover. He also did "Fort Apocalypse," which is all the other buildings and the still. For Apocalypse also has a number of smaller props that are not seen here, such as an old mattress, an oil drum firepit, oil drum chair, etc.
The windmill and water tank were Net freebies but I cannot remember by whom. You can't really tell it, but the Mil Dog and DAZ's Victoria 4.0 are in the Trader truck. Cottonwood trees by Steve's Trees (Vista International Products). Atmosphere is the standard blank sky with the direction of the sunlight slightly readjusted. Ecosystem is one I call "Scrub and Dead Trees."

Excellent SciFi scene, great atmosphere, well done
Cool scifi scene, me likes!
こういう作品大好きです!!!!!
the sky looks great but I think your right it highlights that your ground now looks to lush - the color of green though has a bit of a bile yellow tint so may be that I cant see green/red good. Just make sure the beer is safe!
Interesting scenery!
The clouds even seem to be effecting the ground lighting. Very well done!
Very good VUE work
You know I think I been to this place - in Montana!
Indeed you did the sky adds a more dramatic effect to the image.
Looks good, lots of detail. I like the sky. The cars look like they are floating however.
I like the sky in this one.
great vue sci-fi scene....congrats!
Looks very nice, Jeremy!
You captured that menacing sky pretty well!
Very cool!.Realy like this one.
Excellent scene!!!
There's a certain crispness to your pictures that is a style all your own. To the point that I can tell them from others. That's very cool.
Looks very beautiful
In my opinion this one looks much better as your first version. Why? I don´t know. You talked about desolation, and maybe this it is. You created a great scene with relatively only a few objects, it looks like an outpost somewhere on alpha Centauri......But it works very well, Jeremy, and this is a reason for a masterpiece....5+
Excellent! You have captured the vastness of this world perfectly.
Wow i can just imagine the frontier way of life when i look at this picture.
I knew it was an apocalyptic scene the moment I saw it. The cars remind me of the ones in Mad Max. I love the panoramic view with all the little details; it makes it fun to peruse. Some of your cars by the bar are floating a little, because the back tires aren't touching the ground throwing the shadows off. giggle But, hey, apocalyptic times call for different kinds of cars, especially for those fast getaways when you steal someone else's gas or NOS. :)
