Description
Used a NASA map from the CD of 3D World issue 107 and built a ship inspired by Adam Benton, who was in turn, inspired by Chris Foss. Modelled in LW 9.2, rendered in radiosity in F-prime and LW (exhaust glow). The exhaust re-worked in PS-CS3.

Great render and modeling.
That's super cool! Nice work on the engines, and I really love that model!
This looks Awesome, and i must say that Nasa have excelled after that Mapping Mission, and not forgetting Foss a brilliant seer. Bravo
Fantastic!!!!!!!!!
Excellent modelling and great render and postwork. The atmosphere and exhuast are fantastic.
Cool modeling work, and a fabulous scifi scene. Did I mention the sweet Fx?
Neat Foss inspired (2X) design, he is one of my favorite sci-fi artists and you have done him proud karl, very kool re-entry scene ! ~Cheers~
Excellent!
Wow!! ~Impressive~ Love it... FABULOUS!!!
Superb combination of realism and original modelling here. Not only is it a superb and impressive image, but it's also and will probably be a source of inspiration for further Bryce works in my gallery :-).Excellent work!
Very nice, I should check out Nasa's stuff more often.
Excellent...most excellent. Chris Foss is one of my perennial sf art favorites, along with Colin Hay and others. This reminds me a bit of a re-vamped, updated entry into one of those Terran Trade Authority handbooks that graced my childhood years and set me firmly on the road to writing my own science fiction. What really strikes me about this is the fact that its realistic and the ship-design itself looks quite feasible. Great color, great sense of drama, and like any great piece of SF artwork, it inspires any number of stories...that's always a plus.
sensational scene, love your perspective
awesome scene...fantastic sci-fi...bravissimo..!!!
