The Year is 2252, The United Federation of Planets was restarting the space exploration missions in the wake of the Axanar War. Most of the heavy cruisers from the wartime accelerated production were away from the central Sol Sector of the Alpha quadrant. The Federation had an extraordinary situation on it’s hands when Captain Garth of Izar of the USS Constitution NCC-1700 was apprehended and placed into a rehabilitation center on Elba II, for his abuse of the power of cellular metamorphosis. With no other rated captain available for the new heavy cruiser class, the Federation turned to Captain Marlena Aubrey from the exploration arm: The United Earth Space Probe Agency staff. She would have to prove herself capable of handling the demoralized crew of the Constitution, with the added challenge of another emerging threat to the stability of The Federation, the Andorian uprising of 2252.
