Description

Rendered in Cinema 4D with VRay for C4D. The sky was rendered in Vue 6 Infinite and wrapped around the environment (gotta see about getting Vue 6 Xtreme - that has to be way easier!). The Trawler model is a freebie from Turbo Squid (I think) and was re-textured in C4D. The water texture is a texture created within C4D for this scene - trial and error lol! *wipes sweat from brow* Gotta try and get my head wrapped around the material manager in C4D - especially with VRay - it is way more difficult than Vue I think.

Nice. The sky looks a little flat IMO. I also think that type of sunlight would affect the clouds.

Great work texturing the boat and special kudos on the water about the boat - foaming and trailing off behind it in the wake. I agree with Turner - the sky is to flat and the note about the sky. I always have a hard time rendering skies in Bryce and moving them into Daz and making the light match up and everything feel like they belong.

Generally very nice and atmospheric. I find the best skies do not come from software but a camera - use the real sky as a backdrop and use a similar hdr for relections etc.

Nice work. Good atmosphere. The sky seems to look 'flat' because the texture is perhaps too small and so pixelated? Like to see some lights shining through those portholes too.
