Description
The "Jylland" was the first steam-/sail-driven frigate of the Danish navy. It was built around 1860 and was in service for about 30 years. It saw action during naval engagements in the war against Prussia/Austria in 1864.
For many years the ship was pretty much just sitting around and slowly rotting away, until a private foundation was set up for the purpose of restoring the ship. Today it sits in very fine condition in a dry-dock as a museum ship in the idyllic town of Ebeltoft.

You need only strong wind to sail away:) Good shot.
Coal will do even better. Excellent photo of a rare type.
Excellent, well done....
Thank you for sharing! What interesting hybrids of sail and steam where created while the world try to grapple with the change of technology.
