Description
La Paz Falls are on route 4 between Varablanca and Cariblanca in the Cordillera Central, Costa Rica.
This picture was taken on 14 December 2004.

This was my first attempt to capture a waterfall. First, there wasn't much room, and second I tried different exposure times. This is the one I liked best.

My mother loved the falls. No swarm of mosquitoes was ever too thick to turn her back from the swamp that was always a few miles below.
Fantastic capture Sig, looks to be quite a large amount of water going over the top here, I can imagine it was quite noisy, a thunderous roar even. Someone is safety conscious as well, I see a fence/guard rail to prevent people falling. I wouldn't want to do maintainence on it; it looks rather precarious to me. I wonder who? and how? they managed to place it there. Excellent work, especially so for a first waterfall. Bravo!!!!!
