Description
I took this image in Soweto in Vilakazi Street, right opposite the house where Nelson Mandela grew up. It is a very popular tourist spot and there are a couple of informal traders who sell their art to the busloads of tourists visiting Mr Mandela's house.
These traditional clay dishes are painstakingly hand painted by the traders/artists. The colors are truly magnificent and these folks are so talented. They usually have a very wide array of goods (all hand made) which they sell at the tourist hotspots!!
Thank you for popping in and for your very valued comments on this image as well as my previous uploads.
