Description

'Faux' magazine/digest cover - image and typography evoking 'pulpish' styles and conventions rather than directly trying to re-create them. Part celebration, part study, and part vehicle for artistic interests. Poser PP render postworked and cover designed in Photoshop. Thanks for looking.

Yes, a little more gruesome than your usual. The type is extra nice on this one.

I am always amazed at your 'cover arts'. You have got this technique down! It is fascinating that you can take a poser work to start with and make it look like original, old-time hand-illustration. You are a true artist!

I love this image! Incredible pose and expression. Actually, it's even BETTER than what one would've seen 'in the day.' Great job!

Mike, you never cease to amaze ... it's not just the vintage pulp look ... your sense of style and composition simply continues to amaze me (not to mention turn me green with envy) ... GREAT! -stray-

A dramatic scene, colours are balanced perfectly. That issue was sold out in a day.

Nice pastiche -- what may have been if the "shudder pulps" had survived to the 60s era of "Men's Sweat" magazines, with gore-filmmaker Herschel Gordon Lewis as art director.

You have achieved everything you set out to do in this work. The pose is particularly unnerving when one considers her circumstances. The curled under toes suggest boredom, the rest of her indicates she may be considering finishing off the spectator! Masterful. Gary
