for the textures theme in the 2d graphics forum
somehow i get attached to clothes and i have trouble to throw something away. it just does not seem right to do that. it fits better after a long time and it's just right. my wife, however does not always feel that way and calls it an eyesore. luckily she is nice enough to allow my wearing it till even i can part with it.
this waistcoat still has a long way to go :-)

Koosie, this really is such a wonderful illustration of what the theme texture is about. I at once get the feeling in my hands of the different textures here, The feeling of the material in the seat of the chair. I can even feel the smell of it. So the softness of the jeans jacket, surely often worn, washed many times, a favourite to wear. My fingers can feel that too. Excellent theme image Koosie!!!

I love how you transform images, and I agree with gun that the coat seems soft and very inviting. Your chair reminds me of a couple of the famous chairs of van Gogh (which you or someone mentioned in the forums). Your rendering of the straw or wicker has that rustic feel to it. Truly a "texture" work, and I like that you silhouetted it against black. A pleasure to see you back in the galleries, Koosie, and I hope you'll continue to post more.

At first glance this work belies the complexity of the technique. I love the way you've caught the "static" movement of the jacket contrasted against the hardness of the chair. Well done.
