Description
The lady has been foremost in the raptor center which has graciously allowed my photography. Here is trust and friendship..the Red Tailed Hawk is an elderly lady, over 12 years old as I recall.
The hawk has trust in the woman and the woman knows what the hawk may do but still must be alert. Even now, this hawk would love to fly away even if she cannot because of the old wing injury.
The hawk is named Mildred, posted in other gallery shots. She is a sweetie and loves a fresh mouse. This is my first photo outside with the raptors.

The expression in the face of the bird is one that reflects its trust and bond with the lady here. Great shot.
Mildred is a lucky bird...but then again she most likely is aware of that.. a very nicely detailed image..
