Description
I shot this image of my feathered friend at a birdpark close to where I live. It is a Saddle Billed Stork and fairly rare in the wild in SA. I just love the contrasting colors on this fellow!
I will be in Zimbabwe for work for the next two days and my apologies for not commenting on your images. I will try and catch up over the weekend.
Thank you for visiting my gallery and for your valuable comments on this image as well as previous uploads.

Excellent capture, and what an odd, unique looking beak! it almost looks as though it's wearing some form of protection from the sun :) This is most interesting to view an admire, and I do love the lighting and colours! Superb composition!
Isn't that the coolest costume! Sensational shot! I'd hang out with this dude.
Wonderful close up Carin. Love the dof. Zimbawe? Isn't it kind of dangerous? I remember when they (Rhodesia) were holding out. Wasn't it the bread basket or something like this? Good luck, Sig...
