I spent way too long trying to figure out if it looked better like this or cropped so the frog's face was in the corner. I think I like it better this way because you can see the body and leg under the water, even though it is compositionally weird. The postwork took forever but didn't actually change anything besides the colors: I made it mostly sepia-toned but kept a lot of color in the grass and some in the frog's little face. That small change went a long way; I honestly didn't think this was a good enough shot until I fiddled with it a bit and suddenly it had more depth. Don't be afraid of postwork, sometimes it can enhance the subject of a shot rather than distracting from it. EDIT: not assuming gender in frogs anymore (because if you think about it, that just makes no fucking sense -- it's not like they can tell us what gender they are -- plus it's cissexist and binarist). sorry about that.
