Description
Nikon 7900 pocket camera - hand held image.
I noticed some dark spots in the puff ball of a Dandelion and upon investigation, I discovered about a dozen of these little "Ebony Bugs" buried inside. It appears as if they were feeding on the seed heads.
I thought the 'deco' style markings on some of them, was pretty cool.

I didn't know there were so many different bugs on this planet until I saw your gallery Lee, it seems you find a new one every day on your 25 acres. Another new on for me, you never cease to amaze me with the variety of little critters that you capture. Awesome work. Bravo!!!!!
OUTSTANDING... WELL DONE
Now if dandelions is all they eat, someone should consider raising them as natural weed control.
They look like black pearls or polished black diamonds, Stunning.
