Description

For the last couple of months I spent quite some time on sunsets, in particular for reasons of inner peace and second for the challenge of capturing what the eye sees and the heart feels during a small time frame of about 5 minutes. I heard African sunsets are the best, but when I look at the captures all over the world, I beg to differ. So take up my challenge, whenever you see some cloud cover, go out there and let's see what you can capture.
To my American friends: Happy & safe 4th of July celebrations, keep your flag flying high, we lost ours!

What an amazing mood you have captured here Piet. Your composition and color saturation are perfect. The sky looks threatening, yet also calm... Strange - I cannot decide! In all - an absolutely glorious image! :)

Excellent capture oom Piet.Ther are Fish eagles around Pretoria.They started visiting our dam last week.I will try to capture them on Camera Oom Piet.

A fabulous image, Piet! Funny, I was planning to get out and take some sunsets this weekend, assuming my car starts (Grrrrr!) Our flag will fly high and I sure hope it still flies after the upcoming election. I can't help but wonder how long before it too becomes obsolete in favor of humoring the immigrants who want to live here but don't care to be Americans and in fact continue to bash and trash everything American. We are quickly becoming a minority in our own country--but obviously it makes sense to someone.
