morning all :o)
its a year today since i posted my first pic ,does`nt time go by so quickly .i dont remember it going this fast when i was a kid waiting for santa lol .i would like to thank everyone thats took the time to look at my pics and most of all thank my very good friends that i`ve made whilst being a member here ,for supporting ,encouraging and helping me improve .i`ve enjoyed every minute of this experience :o)
this thistle usually has a purple flower on by now .i`ve waited patiently but to no avail .i knew exactly how i was going to take the shot and that was going to be the year on pic .instead my friends you will have to accept the prickles as the dedi to you all lol :o)..i could`nt have come this far without all your support so a really big heartfelt thank you .

Yeah, where does the time go--cuz surely we aren't getting any older!!! Beautiful thistle, I have them here as well, nasty things but they sure put out a gorgeous bloom!!

Well Happy first Birthday on Renderosity Mick, I didn't even give it a thought till now, I know you did mention something about it maybe last week but I forgot. Excellent capture, of this wonderful Scottish Emblem, I saw some of these over five foot tall at the gardens near Kelso Castle a few years ago. They have their own corner in the flower gardens and are tended to just like the rose bushes in the same garden. They don't treat them as weeds up there I can tell you. I would have thought the Scots would hate them, especially when they are wearing a Kilt Lol. It's a shame it didn't bloom for you Mick as they are beautiful when they do, even though they are prickly. Superb macro, excellent clarity and detail. Bravo!!!!! Hope the weather is kind to you next week mate, we have just had a very heavy downpour.
